Kevin Painter is co-founder and managing partner of LeConte Wealth Management, LLC, an independent financial firm established in 2007 in Maryville, Tenn. Kevin coordinates the equity research process and develops asset allocation strategies for the firm’s asset management clients. He also serves the Chief Compliance Officer for the firm. As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary™, he also provides retirement plan consulting advice to plan participants and fiduciaries.
With more than 13 years experience in the financial services industry, Kevin’s previous positions include Portfolio Manager at AmSouth Bank in Birmingham, Ala., and Private Financial Adviser with SunTrust Investment Services.
Kevin’s educational background includes a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Political Science from Furman University.
He has served in various leadership roles in the community, such as Chairman and Treasurer of the Board of the United Way of Blount County, board member for Leadership Blount, VIP Chair for the Board of the Blount County Chamber of Commerce, BBQ Coordinator for the Blount County Relay for Life, and as Chair of the Community Capital Campaign for the Clayton Center of the Arts. He has been recognized as one of the Knoxville News Sentinel’s 40 Under 40, awarded the Maryville City Schools Foundation’s Young Alumni Award and honored by Knoxville’s Volunteer Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) as their Volunteer of the Year in 2010.
Kevin also played a role in LeConte Wealth Management’s recent awards from the Blount County Chamber of Commerce, recognizing LeConte Wealth Management as Small Business of the Year at the 2010 Philanthropy Day and as winner of the United Way Campaign food drive.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys cooking BBQ for charity events, playing his piano and cello and spending time in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park with his family. He lives in Maryville with his children, Lila Kate and Houston.
