It’s time for the 2nd annual United Way “Can” Paign before the Campaign. From August 5th through the 19th we’re collecting food items for local food pantries as they continue to fight hunger here in Blount County. We were crowned champion in the Small Business category in 2010 with over 220 pounds of food collected and donated. We’d appreciate your help in any way as we look to do even more this year.
Food pantries need ANY canned vegetables/fruit/meats/tuna, Oatmeal, Crackers, Dry Pasta/Rice/Beans, Macaroni and Cheese, Pasta Sauce, Peanut Butter and Baby items (formula, diapers). Feel free to drop off items at our office beginning on August 5th as we work to help out those in need in our community.
