“Now a proud American, returning to this community feels like a full-circle moment. I’m driven to do the greatest possible good by helping people align their finances with their purpose, grounded in trust and integrity. In this industry, collaboration is key, and being part of a strong team allows us to deliver clear, strategic, and deeply personal solutions.”

Doug Whitten has been active in the financial services industry since 2019, bringing a client-first mindset and a well-rounded background in trading, financial literacy, and relationship management. Originally from Medicine Hat, Alberta, his journey from the Canadian plains to East Tennessee reflects a deeper pursuit of purpose, people, and planning.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Maryville College in 2018, where he was also a standout member of the Fighting Scots golf team. Doug began his career as a trader with a local broker-dealer, gaining hands-on experience at the trade desk and developing a strong understanding of market dynamics – laying the groundwork for his transition into wealth management.

In his current role, Doug focuses on business development, client relationships, and guiding families through the financial planning process. He’s passionate about helping individuals make informed decisions and is dedicated to building long-term relationships rooted in trust and collaboration.

Doug and his wife, Abby, live in Knoxville with their two golden retrievers, Campbell and Peach. Outside the office, he enjoys golfing, cheering on the Vols, spending time on the lake, traveling, and being with family and friends.
